Dal Puri is another type of stuffed paratha/chappati that is a heavy and delicious item for either lunch or dinner. Generally this main dish is prepared on Puja occasions when there has to be strict vegetarian items. Since this Dal Puri Recipe is in itself quite rich and tasty, it does not need much in side dishes – a simple aloo ki sabzi is sufficient. So this is a good choice for Puja days. Also this is a good alternative recipe to standard aloo paratha or just simple paratha. You can prepare dal puri as a refresher dish once in a while.

Chicken Lababdar is a mughlai dish which is of course quite unique in its taste. I tried this recipe primarily because of it’s name “Lababdar” which sounded very shahi to me. And I was not mistaken. The Chicken Lababdar Recipe is really delicious and is simple as well. It is quick too as you do not need much knife work except to make chicken pieces. The interesting thing is that besides chicken, the primary items for this dish are onion and methi. So this dish will definitely taste different and will be a refreshing welcome to your family. This is very good with naan or pulao.

Aloo Ki Sabji is perhaps the most cooked and most common recipes of all. In fact this dish is a life-saver when there’s not much ingredients left in the kitchen inventory (and of course the time is too lazy to go out for a grocery shopping). Moreover Aloo Ki Sabji can be served with almost any main dishes – roti/chappati, paratha, puri, kachori, dal puri, rice with dal and even bread. As you can see this dish is a multi-purpose side dish with minimum ingredient and fairly quick and easy to prepare. You can even vary the level of spices and chili to make it quite tasty (of course at the expense of being “healthy”). You will just need potato and onion besides few spices. That’s all. And with pressure cooker, the total time of preparation/cooking is well within 20mins.

The movie Aisha (Anil Kapoor Production, directed by Rajshree Ojha) started off really jolly and with a carefree mood. I liked the way the movie began with slowly building the characters through events and dialogues. Aisha is based on Jane Austen’s popular novel Emma. Unfortunately what started out to be an entertaining and delightful movie soon turned into stretches of boring sequences. And when a movie bores you, all the glitches, horrible acting and direction get exposed. Aisha is not an exception.
