What is keeping me busy?
- More classification, grouping and tagging my recipes to make it easier for you to search and list recipes. I know with recipes growing on this site, it has become difficult even for me to quickly get to the “type” of recipe I want to cook a particular day or weekend. You can let me know if you have any preferences or suggestions in grouping the recipes via Submit your content page.
- A page with ingredient glossary with photos seems to be a necessity for who is new to Indian Recipe and is finding difficulty in figuring out, for example, what Asefoetida means.
Implemented Features
- Cooking Tips – Now you can learn and know more about the day-to-day cooking/kitchen tips that I have learned from my family or from internet and really found effective. You can share your cooking tips as well.
I Like It button – Now you can give your feedback with a simple click of a button. If you like the recipe (or the TV serial / Movie post) just click the “I Like It” button at the end of the post. I will soon add a section listing the “Most Liked” posts from my blog once I have enough data.- Print the Post option – Now you can take printouts (specially of recipes) so that you can refer to the recipes in the kitchen. I know this is very important and I wish all recipe sites had this option.
- What do you think? – Polls are back, and this time I will really put in some interesting questions that I myself wanted to know the general opinion. Of course you can request your favorite poll options via Submit your content page.
- Are you overweight? – I needed a way to quickly check my BMI (Body-Mass-Index) but hated to open a calculator and do some guesswork. Hence I put up this simple page where you can enter your height and weight and quickly check your BMI as well as get an English feedback about your health condition as far as your weight is concerned. After all, with so much of daily cooking and eating, we must also keep our weight in check.
- Games to play – Now you spend that time of boredom (nothing to do in the afternoon after lunch?) playing online “Life style” games like “Make me over”, “Dress Up Hillary” and others right from my blog.
- Post Ratings – Now you can give your feedback in the range of your level of satisfaction. If you liked the recipe (or the TV serial / Movie post) or didn’t like it at all… just rate it using the stars at the end of the post.
