Ingredients for preparing Taroi (Jhinga) Aur Nariyal (Coconut) ki Sabji
- 1kg taroi / jhinga (ridge gourd)
- 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Pinch of mustard seeds
- 7-8 curry leaves
- 2-3 splitted green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 cup grated coconut
- Salt to taste
How to make Taroi (Jhinga) Aur Nariyal (Coconut) ki Sabji
Take 1kg taroi peel it off and cut it into thin long pieces.
Take a non-stick frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and put pinch of mustard seeds and 7-8 curry leaves. When it starts to splutter, put the taroi pieces with little salt, 2-3 splitted green chili and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
Cook till taroi is fully tender. Then put 1 cup grated coconut, salt to taste and cook for 5 mins.
Taroi Aur Nariyal ki Sabji is ready to serve hot with plain rice for Lunch or with roti/chappati for dinner.
