Maacher dimer bora/ Fish Egg Pakora is a side dish item usually accompanying fish curry dish as the Fish egg comes with the fish from market. This is really a tasty fried item which can be had as an appetizer / starter with coriander chutney and salad before the actual main dish items. Preparation is simple as well. This Maacher dimer bora/ Fish Egg Pakora Recipe is a fried one and can be served as a standalone non-veg snacks as well.

Ingredients to make Maacher dimer bora/ Fish Egg Pakora

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size onion
  • 2 green chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 100gm fish eggs
  • Few coriander leaves
  • 3 tablespoon of gram flour
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

How to prepare Maacher dimer bora/ Fish Egg Pakora

Method

Step 1

In a bowl take 100 gm fish egg, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 medium size chopped onion, 2 chopped green chili, 3 tablespoon of gram flour, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, few coriander leaves, salt to taste and mix well. This is the batter for the pakora.

Step 2

Take a non-stick frying pan heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. Take 1 teaspoon of pakora mix / batter (Step 1) in oil, Similarly put 5-6 pakora mixes / batter at a time in the pan.

Step 3

Fry it till they become golden brown in colour.

Step 4

Fish egg pakora is ready to serve hot with plain rice as a starter along with coriander chutney and salad
