Chicken Munchurian is a classic chinese recipe which has been a bit modified in Indian Style in this recipe. This dish requires a bit more time than the Chili chicken version. The Chicken Munchurian Recipe is quite tasty  (and lip smacking) if prepared with correct amounts of sauce and spices. Try this recipe with other chinese main dishes like noodles or veg fried rice or even indian main dishes like Paratha or veg pulao.

Ingredients to prepare Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients

  • 250gm chicken keema
  • 2 teaspoon of ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 3 chopped green chili
  • little turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cornflour
  • 1 chopped medium size onion
  • 1 cup refined vegetable oil for deep fry
  • 1 capsicum cut it into square cubes
  • 3 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon of chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • little water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of agino motto (MSG - Optional)

How to make Chicken Manchurian

Method

Step 1

Take 250gm chicken keema, wash it properly and marinate with 1 teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste, little salt. 1 chopped green chili and little turmeric powder.

Step 2

In a bowl, put the marinated chicken keema, 1 tablespoon of cornflour, 1 chopped medium size onion and mix well.


Step 3

Now make small size balls of chicken keema (prepared in step 2).

Step 4

In a pan put 1 cup refined oil and heat it for 2 mins.

Step 5

Deep fry the chicken keema balls till it become golden brown in colour. Fry it in a medium flame and keep aside.

Step 6

In the same pan remove the extra oil and keep at least 2 tablespoon of oil.

Step 7

Heat the oil for 2 mins and put 2 medium size chopped onion, 1 capsicum cut it into square cubes, salt to taste, little turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of ginger paste, 2 chopped green chili,1 teaspoon of garlic paste and fry till it become little golden brown in colour.

Step 8

Now put 3 tablespoon of tomato ketchup, 2 tablespoon of chili sauce, 1 tablespoon of vinegar and fry for 5 mins.

Step 9

Put the fried chicken balls into the pan (from step 7) and put little water if required, cook for 2 mins and sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of agino motto (MSG - optional) and again cook for 2 mins.

Step 10

Chicken manchurian is ready to serve with paratha or pulao.
