Chicken Lotpot is a regional Bangladeshi recipe that tastes great with roti / paratha / bread. This is a unique recipe and hence you have to try this in order to know whether you will like it. Ingredients to make Chicken Lotpot
- 500gm chicken
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoon of mustard oil
- 4 medium size chopped onion
- 5-6 cloves of garlic
- 2 inches of ginger
- 2 tablespoon of coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 green chili
How to prepare Chicken Lotpot
Take 500gm medium size chicken pieces, wash it properly in water. Marinade with little salt and little turmeric powder.
Boil 2 eggs in enough water, remove its skin and keep aside.
Take a non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of mustard oil and put 4 medium size chopped onion, 5-6 cloves of garlic, 2 inches of ginger cut into medium pieces and fry it with little salt till the onions are half tender.
Now put all the contents of step 3, 2 green chili and add 2 tablespoons of coriander leaves into the mixer grinder and make a smooth paste.
In the same frying pan heat 2 tablespoon of mustard oil and put the onion paste (step 4), salt to taste, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder or according to taste. Mix well and cook till oil separate from the paste.
Put the chicken pieces and when it is half cooked, then add 1 chopped tomato, 1/2 cup green peas and 2 boiled (step 2) chopped eggs. Mix it well and cook till it is fully tender.
Add little water for the gravy and put 1 teaspoon of garam masala and cook for 2 mins.
Chicken Lotpot is ready to serve hot with Naan, Lacha Paratha and Pulao for Lunch or Dinner.
