Parwal Posto Ki SabjiParwal Posto Ki Sabji is a great combination (actually the presence of posto makes this recipe great) that can be prepared using parwal (potol). Not everyone likes parwal (potol), but this Parwal (Potol) Posto Ki Sabji Recipe will be loved by most. This is a dry recipe ideal with roti/paratha but you can also serve this as a side dish at lunch but you will need to have a curry dish or at least dal. You can be liberal in adding posto (poppy seeds) and even remove the seeds of the parwal (optional) if you have time.

Ingredients

  • 6-7 Parwal
  • 3 tablespoon of poppy seeds
  • 4 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Pinch of panch phoran
  • 2-3 green chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste

Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 25 min
Serves: 4

How to make Parwal Posto Ki Sabji

1.Take 6-7 Parwal and cut it into half and remove the seeds of the parwal. Wash it properly in running water.

2. In a small bowl put 3 tablespoon of poppy seeds and soak it in water for 15 mins. Then drain the excess water and grind it in a mixer grinder.

3. Take a non-stick frying pan heat 4 tablespoon of vegetable oil and put pinch of panch phoran and 2-3 green chili slightly split into half.

4. When it starts to splutter put the parwal pieces with little salt and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Fry till it is golden brown in color.

5. Put the posto paste (step 2) and salt to taste into the pan with parwal and cook for 5-6 mins.

Parwal Posto Ki Sabji is ready to serve hot with Rice for Lunch.
