Paneer ManchurianPaneer Manchurian is a vegetarian Chinese dish (Indian Style). This item is prepared using standard Chinese ingredients like soya sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, capsicum and onions. The main ingredient is Paneer. The Paneer Manchurian Recipe is easy and simple but will take some time as frying is involved. Try this Indian Style Chinese recipe of Paneer Manchurian when you want to have vegetarian and love Chinese foods.


Ingredients to prepare Paneer Manchurian

  • 250 gms paneer
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • little red chili powder
  • 5 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 4 big size onions
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 chopped garlic
  • 1 inch grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoon soya sauce
  • 2 teaspoon tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoon of chili garlic sauce (or just chili sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ajina-moto

Preparation Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 35 min
Serves: 4

How to make Paneer Manchurian

1. Take 250 gms paneer and cut it into small cubes.

2. In a bowl put the paneer pieces and marinade with 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, salt to taste, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, little red chili powder for 15 mins

Paneer Manchurian Fry3. In a non-stick frying pan heat 5 tablespoon of vegetable oil and put the marinaded paneer pieces (step 2) and fry till it is golden brown in color.


4. In the same frying pan and in the same oil (after removing the excess oil if it is more than 2 teaspoons) put 4 big size onions cut into medium size pieces with little salt and fry for 2 mins.

5. Then put the 1 capsicum cut into medium size pieces and fry till both onion and capsicum are fully tender.

6. Now put 1 chopped garlic, 1 inch grated ginger, salt to taste and fry for 2-3 mins, then put 2 teaspoon soya sauce, 2 teaspoon tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ajina- moto and 1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (or just chili sauce will also do) and cook for 5 mins.

7. Put 1 cup of water and bring it to boil for 2 mins, then put the fried paneer pieces (step 3).

Tips: Remove the paneer pieces in another bowl after soaked in the gravy for 30mins, otherwise it will absorb all the gravy.

Paneer Manchurian is ready to serve hot with pulao or paratha.
