How to make Home Made Bhel Puri
1. In a bowl put 1 medium size chopped onion, 1 small boiled potato cut it into small pieces, 1 small tomato pieces chopped into small pieces, 2-3 chopped green chili, handful of boiled red chana, few chopped coriander leaves and hand-full of roasted almond mix well.
2. Preparation of Red Chutney –
In another frying pan add 1 cups of water and bring it to boil for 2 mins, then put 1 teaspoon tamarind into the water and mix well so that tamarind dissolves in water. Put 7-8 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder into the water and bring for boil till the excess water goes out and chutney becomes thick and keep aside.
Remove the tamarind pulp after squeezing with fingers from the mixture and the red chutney is ready to be added to Bhel Puri.
3. Now put 3 teaspoons of red chutney (made up of tamarind and sugar), salt to taste, and 100 gm bhel puri mix (available at market), 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/4th teaspoon chaat masala, 1/4th teaspoon roasted cumin powder and few drops of mustard oil and mix well.
