Ingredients
- 250 gm medium pieces of big fish
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
- Pinch of panch phoran (mixture of 5 spices)
- 2 dry red chili broken into half
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 small size onion
- onion paste ( grind 1 medium size onion)
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil
- Coriander leaves
- 2-3 green chili splited into half (if required)

How to make Fish Curry
1. Take 250 gm medium pieces of big fish wash it properly and marinade with little salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and keep aside for 15 mins. Take 1 medium size potato peel it and cut into eight equal parts marinade with little salt and little turmeric powder for 10 mins.
2. Take a non-stick frying pan heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil and put the fish pieces into the oil and fry until it becomes golden brown then, fry the potato pieces till it becomes little brown and keep aside.
3. Take a bowl put 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste, 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and little water and make a mixture.
4. Take another frying pan and heat 3 tablespoon of vegetable oil put pinch of panch phoran (mixture of 5 spices), 2 dry red chili broken into half, 2 bay leaves and fry for 1 mins. Put 2 small size onion cut into thin long pieces with salt to taste and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and fry till the onion become brown in color. Add mixture of spices (step 3), onion paste (grind 1 medium size onion), 2-3 green chili splited into half (if required) and fry for 2 mins in medium flame, then add fried potato pieces and cook till the potato is fully tender and oil separates from masala. Put little water if requried during the cooking.
5. Add 1 cup water and bring it boil, then put fried fish (step 2) and cook for 2 min.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Fish Curry is ready to serve with Rice or Chapati (in case you have made this with thicker consistency) for lunch.
