This post is written by my husband Sudipta.

I sat still for 10 minutes. The movie started with an unusual fast pace for a hindi movie. I was expecting a tight action and a nice plot something like Dhoom or Don. But… alas… the 11th minute and henceforth was a drop from the sky to beneath the earth level. This movie doesn’t even try to respect any sort of logical plot (forget logical, just any plot). What it does (and fails miserably there too) is to copy the concepts from other movies and make a DJ mix out of it. A medley you can say. Just in the first 40mins I found direct copy of Matrix, James Bond movies, Ghajni and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

This can be considered as a comedy if you like to enjoy how a movie tries to copy something from another movie and fails. Something like “laughing at” the movie. After I found out that Kookie V. Gulati was well known for making eye candy music video, things became clearer. Of course the cinematography is awesome with some really cool camera angles, shots and slow motions. Vivek Oberoi looked hilarious in some scenes trying to act like too confident.

Songs are just ok and with so much similar tunes that I can’t even distinguish them anymore. The actresses Aruna Shields, Nandana Sen and Niroo Singh are merely used for dancing and providing timeouts to the audience. Bottom line – A movie with absolutely no storyline or content, filled with just superficial cinematographic techniques combining “inspired” scenes from various other movies stitching them in order to produce something and hoping that people will love it since they had loved those scenes and ideas in other movies. Alas!
